We introduce you to simple yet heart-warming Akasaka Ningyo dolls being passed down throughout generations in Akasaka, Chikugo City of Fukuoka Prefecture; which has been flourishing since the Edo period as the designated kiln of Arima Domain – the origin of Akasaka porcelain.
Lots to see including the temple established by Kuriyama Toshiyasu who rescued imprisoned Kanbei, as well as discovering the local specialty gourmet item from 1819!
