JFW International Fashion Fair is a 3 day event being held on September at the Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo, Japan. This event showcases products like formal, casual and semi casual ladies wear, mens wear, fashionable garments for the children, Legwear, Nightwear, Inner Wear and Swimwear, Leather and Fur Clothing, bags, shoes, jewelry, accessory, scarf, stole, hat, cap, belt etc etc. in the Apparel & Clothing, Lifestyle & Fashion industries.
JFW-IFF is an exhibition with a strong presence in Japan, organized by Senken Shimbun, which is a major publisher for supporting fashion business. Approximately 500 fashion-related companies exhibit menswear, ladies’ wear, shoes, bags and accessories. Around 20,000 visitors including retail buyers and professionals visit over the course of the show’s three days.
The history debuted in 2000 is dramatic. Although Japan’s economy was sluggish back then, JFW-IFF has kept holding fairs twice a year, January and July. This is for sure that exhibiting companies and visiting buyers have kept supporting the fair.
Since 2008, it also became the core operation of Japan Fashion Week in TOKYO (JFW). That week is promoted by the Fashion Strategy Forum, which is made up of Japan’s major fashion organizations and professionals. Thus JFW was added to the exhibition’s name.
It helps fashion products throughout Japan to be distributed in Japan’s domestic market, and also serves as a platform targeting overseas markets.
