Earlier this year, the FDA unveiled its new required nutritional label for packaged foods, the label’s first significant makeover in 20 years. The new label now includes grams of added sugars, daily recommended limits for sodium, and serving size adjustments in addition to making the calorie and serving size information larger and more visible. Here, specialty food producers weigh in with their opinions of the new labels as they prepare to comply with the regulation by FDA’s July 2018 deadline.
